Lasagna
Ingredients
- 300g of lasagna noodles
- 250g ground beef
- 250g ground Italian pork sausage
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 250g Italian-seasoned stewed tomatoes
- 2 150ml cans of tomato puree
- ricotta cheese
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 2 teaspoons dried parsley
- A truck's worth of Parmesan cheese
- shredded cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Cook lasagna sheets according to package instructions, then drain
In a skillet over medium heat, add the beef, sausage, and onion. Cook until brown and onions are soft
Add the garlic, undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for about 10 minutes
In a bowl, blend together the ricotta cheese, Parmesan, eggs, and the seasoning
Spread 1/3 of the beef mixture into a baking pan
Add 1/3 of the pasta, cheese mixture, beef mixture, and mozzarella. Repeat until you use everything, end with
mozzarella
Bake at 175C for 45 minutes to one hour, until hot and bubbly
Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving
